Here I’m just choosing another ‘character’ from the clubCast portfolio and making a selection. I’m using the quick mask mode as taught in my Photoshopdesigner.com video training series. Right click when still on a selection tool and choose make work path.

This will save the selection to the Paths palette. This is one way to save a selection. Now in the Paths palette, right click and choose make selection (your selection is stored as a path but you can get it back).

Now get your moVe tool and drag inside the selection to bring it over into the document. Place the party girl underneath the 53 logo layer and above the other layers in the layers palette. Note how the hue adjustment is applying to her because she is underneath it also in the L palette.

Try dragging her above the hue adjustment layer in the layers palette and it makes her stand out in full color. I also did an Alt E:A:H (Horizontal Flip). Remember this bon-san.

Just when you think you are done...take a step back and look at it in full screen mode (FF TAB)...let it settle for a while and then you should naturally start finding ways to improve it such as...adding a little more bling.

Let the idea and layout of the design settle in...we’ve got to find a way to showcase all four (or five) of the actors and actresses and your client wants it done yesterday; remember this method and also all of the tools that we’ve used in the design process to get here. Design is just a state of mind. Flow with it.

You could also add a drop shadow to the lead layer.

To tighten it up just a little more, create a new blank layer and choose your gradient tool on diamond mode. Make white your foreground color (D,X to toggle between black and white). Now make short little starbursts (you could also use a special brush) of white lite bling. This should complement the rest of the design very well. Remember since you are creating this bling on it’s own layer you can use the erase if you don’t like certain portions and you can also move it around with the moVe tool. Note the common sense locations of the bursts.

Remember that you can also change any of your settings such as blending modes, layer styles, placement of layers, adjustment layers (double click to bring up the editor and slide the colors to a different hue), etc. Make sure you keep everything neat and organized in layer sets.

That’s it! Now that’s Photoshop power kimosabe. Keep learning the killer trickz and the ENTIRE design process only on PhotoshopDesign.NET and Photoshopdesigner.com...like no other baby-remember that and spread the word.
